Dr. Gandhi

M.D., FACP

Hetal Gandhi, MD, FACP believes that her job as a primary care physician at Synergy Medical in Livonia, Michigan, is not only to heal but also to educate her patients and their families about their health and medical issues, so that they can work in partnership to achieve optimal health. This partnership is often instrumental in the management of chronic illnesses.

Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Gandhi has been a practicing internist in Michigan for more than a decade. She has a special interest in weight management and diabetes and has extensive experience treating a range of complex medical issues, including: heart disease, high blood pressure, stomach issues, arthritis, joint injections, thyroid disorders, obesity, and weight management.

Dr. Gandhi earned her Doctor of Medicine from NHL Municipal Medical College in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, and completed her residency at Wayne State University and the Detroit Medical Center.

Dr. Gandhi has privileges at a number of Michigan hospitals, including Providence-Providence Park Hospital in Novi, St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township, and Garden City Hospital.

Katie Simkow

NP

Katie is an Adult Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, and is board certified by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center. She has a passion for helping others and focuses on health promotion for both the patient and their family in order to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Katie began her nursing career in 2009 and has been a nurse practitioner since 2015. Her previous experience includes work both as a registered nurse (progressive care and telemetry units) and as a clinician (outpatient clinic, extended care facility, and hospital rounding). These experiences enable Katie to diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions across the adult lifespan.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Madonna University and began her professional career working at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Michigan. She later returned to Madonna University and received her Master of Science in Nursing.
When she is not at Synergy Medical, Katie enjoys time with her husband and their two boys. Her hobbies include making jewelry, and spending time outside to garden and fish.

Miranda Sattam, PA-C

Miranda is a board certified Physician Assistant through the National commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Wayne State University in 2020 with Summa Cum Laude honors, and graduated with her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies at Wayne State University.

Prior to Synergy Medical, Miranda practiced Internal Medicine managing both acute and chronic conditions for a diverse range of patients.

She is committed to making a difference in patients lives and providing the best quality of care.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
